Office Operation Update During The Pandemic
At Lapeer Pediatrics, our number one priority is the health and safety of everyone in our community. We want to personally assure you that we are actively monitoring the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) very closely. We are consulting with and monitoring expert recommendations, including guidance from the Centers of Disease Control (CDC) as well as the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS).
Beyond simply monitoring the situation, we are taking active measures to make sure you and your loved ones are cared for in the safest and most comfortable manner. Community mitigation approaches are essential to slowing the transmission of COVID-19, particularly before a vaccine or treatment becomes available.
That is why we are instituting a NEW POLICY to help mitigate disease spread:
All check ups will continue to be done in the office, call from your cell phone to check-in. When the room is ready the MA will contact you and you will be taken right back to your room. This will reduce any extra exposure in the office.
We ask that you limit who comes with you. Try to limit yourself to a parent/legal guardian, child being seen, and leave everyone else at home if possible.
Check-in Policy: Patients should check-in at the front desk upon arrival. If you feel more comfortable sitting in your car please notify the front desk.
Please stay 6 feet apart for others in the waiting room as much as possible. Face masks are required for everyone ages 5 and up.
All Medication reviews and sick appointments will be evaluated through Telehealth at this time unless in-office visit is warranted as instructed by the provider.
Walk-in visits will NOT be available at this time.
We ask that you call to schedule a Telehealth appointment as we are trying to minimize the exposure in the office.
We have adjusted our hours:
Monday to Friday 8:30 AM-5:30 PM and Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
If you have an upcoming appointment and have not heard from us please give us a call for the status of your appointment. Some existing appointments will be turned into a Telehealth appointment and we may not have an updated phone number to contact you.
